Calendar Display Settings

Configure how your calendar looks and displays information to match your preferences.

Accessing Display Settings

Navigate to Settings > Calendar from the sidebar.

Calendar Start Hour

Setting Start Hour

Control what time your calendar day begins:

  1. Go to Settings > Calendar
  2. Find Calendar Start Hour
  3. Select from options (5 AM - 12 PM)
  4. Save

Available Options

Impact

Start hour affects:

  • What’s visible without scrolling in Week/Day view
  • Default calendar view position
  • Does NOT affect what times can be booked

You can scroll to see times before the start hour. This setting just controls the default view.

Show Cancelled Sessions

Setting

Toggle whether cancelled sessions appear on your calendar:

  • On - Cancelled sessions shown (grayed out)
  • Off - Cancelled sessions hidden

Why Show Cancelled

Advantages of showing:

  • Complete history visible
  • See why gaps exist
  • Pattern recognition

Advantages of hiding:

  • Cleaner calendar
  • Focus on active sessions
  • Less visual clutter

Recommendation

  • Show cancelled: Good for record-keeping
  • Hide cancelled: Good for day-to-day scheduling

Show Pending Sessions

Setting

Toggle whether pending (unconfirmed) sessions appear:

  • On - Pending sessions shown with indicator
  • Off - Only confirmed sessions displayed

Pending Indicator

When shown, pending sessions display:

  • Different color or opacity
  • “Pending” status label
  • Distinguish from confirmed

Recommendation

Generally keep this on to:

  • See all your scheduled time
  • Follow up on pending bookings
  • Avoid double-booking

Week Start Day

Setting

Control when your calendar week starts:

  1. Go to Settings > General (or Calendar)
  2. Find Week Starts On
  3. Choose Sunday or Monday
  4. Save

Impact on Calendar

Affects:

  • Week view column order
  • Month view layout
  • “This week” calculations

Hide Weekends

Toggle Location

The hide weekends toggle is in the calendar toolbar (not settings):

  1. Go to Calendar
  2. Look for the weekend toggle in toolbar
  3. Click to toggle

What It Does

  • Weekends shown: 7-day view
  • Weekends hidden: 5-day view (Mon-Fri)

Default Calendar View

Available Views

  • Month - Monthly overview
  • Week - 7-day (or 5-day) detail
  • Day - Single day focus

Setting Default

Timeblu remembers your last-used view:

  • Switch to preferred view
  • It becomes your default
  • Persists across sessions

Display Colors

Service Colors

Each service has a color configured in service settings.

Calendar Colors

If you have multiple calendars:

  • Each calendar can have its own color
  • Colors differentiate calendars when viewing all

Changing Colors

Colors are set in:

  • Services → Edit service → Color
  • Calendars → Edit calendar → Color

Time Slot Display

Slot Duration

Calendar displays time slots based on:

  • Your calendar grid
  • Typically 30 or 60-minute increments

Session Display

Sessions show:

  • Service color background
  • Client name
  • Service name
  • Time
  • Status indicator (if pending/cancelled)

Density and Layout

Desktop View

Full-featured calendar with:

  • Sidebar for calendar list
  • Full time grid
  • Complete session details

Mobile View

Responsive calendar with:

  • Compact layout
  • Touch-optimized
  • Essential information
  • Expandable details

Troubleshooting Display Issues

Calendar Not Showing Sessions

  1. Check date range
  2. Verify calendar is checked in sidebar
  3. Check filters (cancelled, pending)
  4. Clear browser cache

Wrong Times Displayed

  1. Check timezone setting
  2. Verify session times are correct
  3. Clear cache and refresh

Display Glitches

  1. Refresh the page
  2. Clear browser cache
  3. Try different browser
  4. Check for browser updates

If display issues persist, try using Timeblu in an incognito/private browser window to rule out cache issues.
