Birthday Greeting
💎Max The birthday greeting is an always-on campaign, like the auto win-back: you set it up once and from then on Timeblu checks every day whose birthday it is and emails them your message.
How to set it up
- Go to Campaigns and open the Birthday greeting card, below the win-back one.
- Write your message: subject and body, with the same block editor and the same email templates as
any other campaign. A ready-made greeting in your language is waiting, with
{{client_first_name}}and{{business_name}}as variables. - Turn the switch on.
The page tells you how many of your clients have a birthday on file. The date of birth lives on each client’s record and also comes along with the import from your previous tool.
Who gets the greeting
A client is greeted only when all of these hold:
- They have a date of birth on their record and today is their birthday, in your business timezone. Someone born on 29 February is greeted on the 28th in years without a 29th.
- They have an email address.
- They have not unsubscribed from marketing and are not blocked from booking.
- They have not already received the greeting this year: even if you edit their date or the daily check runs twice, it is never sent twice in the same year.
What about the monthly quota
Greetings count against your monthly email quota. If you use it up, the campaign pauses until the 1st of next month and the birthdays of those days are not sent late: a late greeting is worse than none.
On the client’s record (Pulse tab) and in the panel of their appointment you will see “Today is their birthday” on the day, whether or not the campaign is on, so you can wish them well in person.
Results
Once it has sent a greeting, the page opens on the Results tab: how many clients booked afterwards, the revenue and the cost since you turned it on, with a By month table. See Campaign Results.
Pausing or changing the message
Turn the switch off to pause it; it never resumes on its own. The message can be changed at any time: every day is a fresh send, so the change applies from the next day on.
