Booking Settings

Pro Customize how your online booking works with these settings.

Accessing Booking Settings

Navigate to Settings > Online Booking from the sidebar.

Core Settings

Enable/Disable Booking

The master toggle for online booking:

  • On - Booking page is accessible
  • Off - Booking page shows “unavailable”

Use this to temporarily disable booking during vacations or breaks.

Username

Your booking page URL identifier.

Changing username:

  1. Edit the username field
  2. Check availability
  3. Save

Changing your username changes your booking URL. Update all your shared links!

Booking Behavior

Auto-Confirm Settings

Control how bookings get confirmed:

Manual Confirmation:

  • All bookings start as “Pending”
  • You manually confirm each one
  • Best for: Screening clients, limited availability

Auto-Confirm Immediately:

  • Bookings confirm automatically
  • No action needed from you
  • Best for: High-volume, straightforward bookings

Auto-Confirm After Timeout:

  • Bookings start as “Pending”
  • Auto-confirm if you don’t respond within X hours
  • Best for: Balance of screening and convenience

Confirmation Timeout

If using timeout-based confirmation:

  • 24 hours - Standard, gives you a day
  • 48 hours - More time to review
  • 72 hours - Extended review period

Clients are notified when their booking is confirmed, whether manually or automatically.

Allow Client Cancellations

Enable clients to cancel their own bookings:

When enabled:

  • Confirmation email includes cancel link
  • Clients can self-service cancel
  • You’re notified of cancellations

Availability Settings

Advance Booking Days

How far ahead clients can book:

  • 30 days - About 1 month ahead
  • 60 days - About 2 months
  • 90 days - About 3 months
  • 365 days - Full year

Shorter periods:

  • Better for unpredictable schedules
  • Limits far-future commitments
  • Requires more frequent availability updates

Longer periods:

  • Better for planning-oriented clients
  • Allows long-term scheduling
  • Good for recurring clients

Minimum Notice

How much notice clients must give:

  • 0 hours - Same-day booking allowed
  • 2 hours - Must book 2 hours before
  • 24 hours - Must book day before
  • 48 hours - Must book 2 days before
  • 72 hours - Must book 3 days before

Shorter notice:

  • More flexible for clients
  • Good for spontaneous bookings
  • Risk of unprepared sessions

Longer notice:

  • Time to prepare
  • Reduces last-minute bookings
  • May lose spontaneous clients

Buffer Time

Time gap between bookable sessions:

Configured per service, but affects booking availability.

Notification Settings

New Booking Notifications

Get notified when someone books:

  • Email - Receive email notification
  • Push - Browser/app notification

Confirmation Notifications

Get notified when bookings are confirmed:

  • Useful with auto-confirm timeout
  • Know when pending becomes confirmed

Cancellation Notifications

Get notified when clients cancel:

  • Always recommended
  • Know immediately when schedule changes

Branding Settings (Premium)

💎Premium Custom branding is available on Premium plans.

Upload your business logo:

  • Formats: JPG, PNG, WebP, SVG
  • Max size: 2MB
  • Recommended: Square or horizontal logo

Theme/Colors

Choose your color scheme:

  • Select from preset themes
  • Or customize primary color
  • Affects buttons, links, accents

Contact Information Display

Choose what to show on booking page:

💎Premium

Remove the Timeblu branding from your booking page footer.

  • On - No Timeblu mention
  • Off - Shows “Powered by Timeblu”

Per-Calendar Settings

Some settings are configured per calendar:

Working Hours

Set available hours for each calendar:

  1. Go to Calendars
  2. Edit calendar
  3. Configure working hours
  4. Save

Buffer Time

Different services can have different buffers.

Linked Services

Control which services appear for each calendar.

Testing Your Settings

After changing settings:

  1. Visit your booking page
  2. Check what options appear
  3. Try making a test booking
  4. Verify notifications work
  5. Cancel the test booking

New Practitioner

  • Auto-confirm: Timeout (24h)
  • Advance booking: 30 days
  • Minimum notice: 24 hours
  • Cancellations: Enabled

Established Practice

  • Auto-confirm: Immediately
  • Advance booking: 60 days
  • Minimum notice: 2 hours
  • Cancellations: Enabled

High-Demand

  • Auto-confirm: Manual
  • Advance booking: 30 days
  • Minimum notice: 48 hours
  • Cancellations: Consider disabling
