Onboarding Walkthrough

When you sign up for Timeblu, the onboarding wizard guides you through setting up your business and calendar. All information is collected before your account is created - nothing is saved until the final step.

Email & Password Flow (5 Steps)

Let’s Get Started

Provide your email address and business name:

  • Email - The address you’ll use to sign in
  • Business Name - The name clients will see (e.g., “Sarah’s Life Coaching”)

Timeblu checks if your email is already registered and suggests corrections for common typos.

Create Your Calendar

Create your first calendar and configure your working hours:

  • Calendar Name - Give it a descriptive name (defaults to “Main Calendar”)
  • Color - Pick a color for visual organization
  • Working Hours - Set your availability for each day of the week:
    • Toggle each day on or off
    • Set one or more time ranges per day (e.g., 9:00–12:00 and 14:00–18:00)
    • Use Copy to weekdays to quickly apply Monday’s hours to Tuesday–Friday

You can change your working hours later by editing the calendar in Settings > Calendar.

Add Your First Service

A service represents a type of appointment you offer:

  • Name - What clients will see (e.g., “Initial Consultation”)
  • Duration - Choose from presets (30, 45, 60, 90, or 120 minutes) or enter a custom duration (5–480 minutes)
  • Price - Set a price or leave at 0 for free sessions

Pick a unique username for your public booking page:

  • Your booking URL will be booking.timeblu.com/your-username
  • Timeblu checks availability in real time as you type
  • If your preferred name is taken, up to 3 alternative suggestions are shown

Username requirements:

  • 3–30 characters
  • Lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores
  • Must start and end with a letter or number

Secure Your Account

Create a password (minimum 8 characters) and accept the Terms of Service, Data Processing Agreement (DPA), and Privacy Policy.

After this step, your account is created and a verification email is sent. Click the link in the email to activate your account and access the dashboard.

Google Sign-Up Flow (4 Steps)

If you sign up with Google, the flow is shorter:

Complete Your Profile

Your email is pre-filled from your Google account (read-only). Just enter your Business Name.

Create Your Calendar

Same as the email flow - set up your calendar name, color, and working hours.

Add Your First Service

Same as the email flow - define your first appointment type.

Same as the email flow - pick your username. You’ll also accept the Terms of Service, DPA, and Privacy Policy on this step.

After completing this step, you’re taken directly to your dashboard - no email verification needed.

After Onboarding

Once you complete onboarding, you’re ready to:

  1. Add clients - Build your client database
  2. Create more services - Add additional appointment types
  3. Book sessions - Start scheduling appointments
  4. Enable online booking - Let clients book themselves

Updating Your Settings Later

All onboarding settings can be modified at any time:
