Onboarding Walkthrough

After creating your account, Timeblu guides you through a simple onboarding process to set up your profile and preferences. This ensures you’re ready to start booking sessions right away.

Onboarding Steps

The onboarding wizard consists of five steps:

Welcome & Business Info

On this step, you’ll provide basic information about your business:

  • Business Name - The name clients will see (e.g., “Sarah’s Life Coaching”)
  • Your Profession - Select from common options or enter your own:
    • Life Coach
    • Business Coach
    • Therapist
    • Psychologist
    • Counselor
    • Consultant
    • Personal Trainer
    • Nutritionist
    • Other (custom)

You can change these settings anytime in Settings > Profile.

Timezone & Locale

Configure your regional settings:

  • Timezone - Critical for accurate scheduling (auto-detected but verify)
  • Date Format - Choose between:
    • MM/DD/YYYY (US format)
    • DD/MM/YYYY (European format)
    • YYYY-MM-DD (ISO format)
  • Time Format - 12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour
  • Week Starts On - Sunday or Monday

Working Hours

Set your default availability for each day of the week:

  1. Enable/disable each day
  2. Set start and end times
  3. These become your default available hours for booking

Example Schedule:

You can set different working hours for each calendar later if you need more flexibility.

Create Your First Service

A service (also called a session type) represents the types of appointments you offer:

  • Name - What clients will see (e.g., “Initial Consultation”)
  • Duration - How long the session lasts (30, 45, 60 minutes, etc.)
  • Price - Optional; leave blank if you bill separately
  • Color - For visual organization on your calendar

Common service examples:

  • Initial Consultation (60 min) - Free or discounted
  • Regular Session (50 min) - Standard rate
  • Extended Session (90 min) - Premium rate
  • Quick Check-in (30 min) - Follow-up rate

Review & Complete

Review your settings and make any final adjustments:

  1. Verify all information is correct
  2. Click Complete Setup
  3. You’ll be taken to your dashboard

Skipping Onboarding

If you need to skip the onboarding process:

  1. Click Skip on any step
  2. You can complete these settings later in Settings

We recommend completing onboarding to ensure your account is fully configured for scheduling.

After Onboarding

Once you complete onboarding, you’re ready to:

  1. Add clients - Build your client database
  2. Create more services - Add additional appointment types
  3. Book sessions - Start scheduling appointments
  4. Enable online booking - Let clients book themselves (Pro+)

Updating Your Settings Later

All onboarding settings can be modified at any time:
