Pricing & Duration

Set up how much your services cost and how long they last. This page covers pricing display, deposits, and duration configuration.

Setting Service Prices

Adding a Price

  1. Go to Services
  2. Edit or create a service
  3. Enter the price in the Price field
  4. Select the currency (defaults to EUR)
  5. Save

When to Set Prices

Set a price if:

  • You charge per session
  • You want prices shown during booking
  • You track revenue in analytics

Leave blank if:

  • You bill separately (invoicing)
  • Pricing is customized per client
  • Service is always free

Price Display

Prices appear in:

  • Your service list
  • Public booking page
  • Booking confirmation emails
  • Dashboard analytics (if tracking)

Free Services

For free services (discovery calls, etc.):

  • Set price to 0 or €0.00
  • Or leave price blank
  • “Free” displays on booking page

Currency

Default Currency

Timeblu uses EUR (€) as the default currency. Prices are displayed in your selected currency throughout the app.

Changing Currency Display

Currency settings are tied to your account locale. To change:

  1. Go to Settings > General
  2. Look for currency/locale settings
  3. Select your preferred format

Currency display is for reference. Timeblu doesn’t process payments directly—it displays prices and tracks deposits via Stripe.

Service Duration

Choosing Duration

Select how long each appointment lasts:

Custom Duration

Enter any duration in minutes for non-standard times (e.g., 75 minutes).

Duration Impact

Duration affects:

  • Calendar slot blocking
  • Online booking availability
  • Buffer time calculations
  • Analytics reporting

Buffer Time

Buffer time adds a gap after each session.

Setting Buffer Time

  1. Edit the service
  2. Find Buffer Time or Booking Buffer
  3. Enter minutes (e.g., 15)
  4. Save

How Buffer Works

Session: 60 minutes Buffer: 15 minutes Total blocked time: 75 minutes 10:00 AM - Session starts 11:00 AM - Session ends 11:15 AM - Next available slot

Deposits đź’ŽPremium

Deposits require clients to pay upfront to confirm their booking. Available on Premium plans.

Enabling Deposits

  1. Edit the service
  2. Enable Require Deposit
  3. Configure deposit settings:
    • Amount - Fixed amount or percentage
    • Refundable - Can client get refund if cancelling?
    • Refund Deadline - Hours before session when refund is no longer available

How Deposits Work

  1. Client books on your page
  2. Selects service with deposit
  3. Proceeds to payment step
  4. Pays deposit via Stripe
  5. Booking is confirmed

Deposit Example

Service: Coaching Session (€100) Deposit: 50% (€50) Refundable: Yes, if cancelled 48+ hours before

  • Client pays €50 at booking
  • Cancellation 3 days before: full €50 refund
  • Cancellation 1 day before: no refund
  • Remaining €50 collected separately

Managing Deposit Payments

Track deposits in:

  • Session details (deposit status)
  • Dashboard analytics (Premium)
  • Payment history in Stripe

Deposits are processed through Stripe. You must connect a Stripe account to accept deposits.

Package Pricing

While Timeblu doesn’t have built-in packages:

  • Create a “Package Session” service
  • Price it at €0 (included in package)
  • Track package sessions separately

Promotional Pricing

For promotions:

  1. Create a duplicate service
  2. Name it “Summer Special - Coaching”
  3. Set promotional price
  4. Mark as public during promotion
  5. Hide when promotion ends

Duration Best Practices

Standard Session Lengths

  • 50 minutes - Allows 10-minute break per hour
  • 60 minutes - Full hour, buffer needed
  • 45 minutes - Common therapy standard

Include Transition Time

Consider what happens after sessions:

  • Note writing
  • Mental reset
  • Physical transition (if in-person)

Consistent Timing

Use consistent durations to:

  • Create predictable schedules
  • Make booking easier for clients
  • Simplify calendar management
