Multi-Service Bookings
A client who wants brows and nails no longer has to book twice and hope the second appointment lands next to the first. On your booking page they add up to three services to one booking, and Timeblu finds the times where all of them fit. The result is one confirmation email, one link to manage everything and a single visit for the client - or several days, if that is what they prefer.
There is nothing to switch on. The option is available on every plan and appears as soon as your booking page offers two or more public services.
What the client does
Building the booking
Every service card on your booking page has two actions:
- Book - takes that one service straight to the calendar, as always.
- Add to booking - adds it to a booking of up to three services. A bar at the bottom of the list shows what is in it, with a Continue button.
On the mini-site the same + sits next to every Book button of the price menu. What the client adds shows in a bar at the bottom of the page - count, total duration and price, and the combined deposit if there is one - and Choose day & time takes the whole cart straight to the day and sequence step. Book on a row while the cart has something in it books that service together with the cart, exactly as on the booking page.
Choosing a day and sequence
The services start out linked: one block, booked back to back on the same day, which is what a salon visit usually is. The client picks a day and sees the sequences where every service fits:
- Back-to-back - one service right after the other.
- With a short wait - a gap of up to 30 minutes between two services, when nothing tighter is free.
Start with lets them choose which service goes first (or leave it on “Any”). When more than one specialist offers a service, a specialist selector per service sits above the calendar - a specific person or “Any specialist” - and changing it refreshes the days and sequences on offer.
Not everything on the same day
The booking panel lets the client reshape the booking at any point:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Book another day | Takes the service out of the sequence; it gets its own day and time, picked next |
| Join with the one above | Puts a service booked on its own back into the sequence above it |
| Add another service | Goes back to the service list with the booking intact (up to three services) |
| Remove | Drops the service from the booking |
One booking can mix both: two services back to back on Wednesday and a third one next Tuesday. Whenever a sequence changes shape (a service joins or leaves it) its times are cleared and picked again - the times inside a sequence only make sense relative to each other.
A client can never be in two places at once: the times already picked for one part of the booking are kept off the calendar for the rest, even across specialists.
Confirming
After the details step the client reviews their appointments, the total and, if any service requires one, the total deposit, then confirms. What happens next depends on the booking:
- Without a deposit, the client gets one email with a button that confirms every appointment in a single click. The booking stays pending until then; your auto-cancel timeout applies to the whole booking, and if it runs out the client gets one email listing the services.
- With a deposit paid, every appointment of the booking is confirmed on the spot - including the ones that carry no deposit themselves.
The booking link
The client’s email lists the appointments in date order (a row that runs right after the one above says so) and carries a single link to manage the whole booking. From that page the client can:
- Confirm booking - while it is still pending.
- Change the whole booking - the same picker they booked with and the same freedom: keep two services together and move the third, split them up, or bring them all back onto one day. Nothing changes until they confirm the new times.
- Cancel the whole booking.
- Change or cancel a single appointment - the rest stays exactly as it was. Changing one appointment of a back-to-back sequence is allowed, and the page warns that the appointments may no longer run back to back.
- Book a new appointment, which starts a fresh booking on your page.
Your online cancellation and rescheduling settings apply as they do to any booking: with either one off, the page asks the client to contact you instead.
What you see
Each appointment of a multi-service booking is a regular session on your calendar, with the same client on all of them. Its chip carries a small link icon, and the session details show Same booking · 1 of 3 with the other appointments, so you can jump between them. Everything you do with a session - confirm, reschedule, cancel, check out, mark a no-show - works appointment by appointment (moving one never moves the others, and the form reminds you of that), and intake forms behave as they do for any other booking. You can also create such a booking yourself when a client calls: see Several services in one call. Reminders and the satisfaction survey go per visit: one message covering every appointment of the day, and on the survey the client rates each service and each specialist separately.
Your own notifications follow your notification settings: when a booking is created, confirmed, changed or cancelled you get one email per appointment, exactly as if the client had booked them one by one.
Deposits
💎Max When services in the booking require a deposit:
- The deposits add up into a single payment, quoted from the moment the booking is being built (the bar under the service list, the booking panel, the review step).
- The client accepts the deposit terms once, for the whole booking, and paying confirms every appointment.
- Cancelling one appointment refunds that appointment’s share of the deposit, at the refund percentage the client accepted; cancelling the others later refunds the rest. Cancelling the whole booking refunds the sum of the shares. Cancelling an appointment from your dashboard also refunds only its share - or keeps it, if you choose to.
- Your Allow deposit cancellations setting governs the appointments that carry a deposit; the others follow the ordinary online cancellation setting. When an appointment cannot be cancelled online, the booking page says so and shows your phone number if you have one set.
Good to know
- How far ahead a sequence can be booked is decided by the strictest of its services: every service has to be bookable that day, so the sequence stops where the first of them does. A service booked on its own day keeps its own limit.
- Buffer time is respected between two services with the same specialist (the room needs turning around); between different specialists only the appointments themselves count.
- Waiting list - only an appointment booked on its own day can opt in to be moved to an earlier slot. Services booked back to back are placed as one sequence, and a single earlier slot would break it.
- Reminders go out per appointment, as usual.
On WhatsApp
Businesses with a WhatsApp booking number get the same cart in the chat: clients add up to three services, pick a day and a sequence, and the whole visit is booked back to back as one reservation - deposits combine into a single payment link. See WhatsApp booking.
