Importing Clients (CSV)

Pro If you already manage your clients in a spreadsheet or another tool, you don’t have to re-type them. The CSV importer brings your whole list into Timeblu in one go - up to 50,000 clients per file.

The importer is available on the Pro and Max plans. On the Free plan the Import CSV button is visible but disabled.

Preparing your file

Export your clients from your current tool as a CSV file (comma-separated values, one client per row, with a header row). The file can be up to 5 MB and 50,000 rows.

Timeblu can import these fields:

Running an import

Upload your CSV

Go to Clients and click Import CSV. Drop your file into the upload area or click to browse. Timeblu parses it right in your browser and moves you to the mapping step.

Map your columns

Timeblu automatically matches your column headers to its fields - it recognizes common header names in English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian. Review the suggestions and adjust any field using the dropdowns. Email, name, and surname must be mapped before you can continue.

If you map a birth date column, pick the date format used in your file (for example DD/MM/YYYY or YYYY-MM-DD).

While you adjust the mapping, a live preview shows how many rows are valid and how many would be rejected, so you can fix the mapping before importing anything.

Two final choices on this step:

  • Update existing clients - see Duplicate handling below.
  • Consent confirmation - confirm you have your clients’ consent to store their data in Timeblu. This is required to start the import.

Review the result

When the import finishes you’ll see how many clients were added, updated, and skipped, plus a list of rejected rows. You can download the rejected rows as a CSV, fix them, and import just that file again.

Duplicate handling

Each client in Timeblu is identified by their email address (case-insensitive, per account). When a row in your CSV matches an existing client:

  • Update existing clients off (default): the row is skipped and the existing client is left untouched.
  • Update existing clients on: the existing client’s details are overwritten with the values from your CSV. How the client originally entered Timeblu (manual, booking, import) is preserved.

Rows that share the same email within the file are deduplicated automatically - the first occurrence wins.

Imports are safe to retry. If an import is interrupted, running the same file again won’t create duplicates: already-imported clients are simply skipped or updated.

After the import

Imported clients appear immediately in your clients list, marked with the Import source. They behave like any other client: you can book sessions for them, view their profile, and include them in campaigns if you’re on Max.
