Subscription & BillingManaging Your Subscription

Managing Your Subscription

View your current plan, move between Free and Max, update your payment details and see your invoices, all from one page.

Opening the Subscription Page

Open your account menu (your avatar, bottom left of the sidebar) and choose Subscription. On a phone it is in the same account block of the side menu; in the app, under the More tab of the bottom bar.

The page has two tabs:

  • Subscription - your current plan, the plan cards and the comparison table
  • Billing - your invoice history

Your Current Plan

The top card shows:

  • Plan - Free or Max, with its monthly price
  • Status badge - Current, Scheduled (a change is coming), Canceled or Payment failed (see Failed Payments)
  • Renewal date - when Max renews, or Access until a date if it is set to end
  • Trial banner - during the free trial, how many days are left and when the first charge happens

Moving from Free to Max

  1. Open Subscription
  2. On the Max card, click Start 30-day free trial (if you have never had a trial) or Upgrade
  3. Complete the secure Stripe checkout
  4. Max features unlock as soon as the payment (or the trial) is confirmed

Moving from Max to Free

  1. Open Subscription
  2. On the Free card, click Downgrade
  3. Review the dialog: you keep Max until the end of the current billing period, then switch to Free
  4. Click Schedule downgrade

Billing on downgrade:

  • No refund for the rest of the period
  • No further charges after it ends
  • Max features stay available until the period ends

While the change is scheduled, the plan card shows Scheduled and the date. Click Cancel downgrade to stay on Max.

Moving to Free deletes nothing. Calendars, clients and appointments are unlimited on both plans, so none of them is switched off. Max-only features (SMS and WhatsApp, team access, surveys, AI and so on) simply stop until you come back to Max.

Updating Your Payment Method and Billing Details

Click Manage Billing on the current plan card. It opens Stripe’s secure billing portal, where you can:

  • Add or replace the card used for Max
  • Update your billing name, address and tax ID (they appear on your invoices)
  • Download past invoices

Return to Timeblu with the back link at the top of the portal.

Viewing Billing History

Open the Billing tab of the Subscription page. Each invoice shows:

  • Date
  • Amount
  • Status (paid, pending, failed)
  • A link to the invoice PDF

Cancelling Your Subscription

How to Cancel

  1. Open Subscription
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Confirm in the dialog

Cancelling and moving to Free are the same thing: Max stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account switches to Free.

What Happens After Cancellation

  • Immediately: the plan shows Canceled and the date your access ends
  • Until the period ends: full Max access continues
  • At the end of the period: the account moves to the Free plan
  • Data: everything is kept

You keep all your calendars, clients, appointments and history, plus every Free feature. You lose the Max-only features (SMS and WhatsApp reminders, team access, surveys, intake forms, advanced analytics, AI, campaigns, branding and deposits).

Reactivating

Before the period ends: open Subscription and click Reactivate. Max continues without interruption and no new checkout is needed.

After the period has ended: open Subscription and upgrade to Max again from the Max card.

Failed Payments

What Happens

If a charge fails (for example, the card has no funds):

  1. Your Max features stay on for a few more days. They keep working until midnight at the start of the third day after the failure: if the charge fails on a Monday, Max keeps working through Wednesday.
  2. The next day you get an email from Timeblu with that date, the Max features you use that would pause, and a Pay now button. Stripe also emails you and retries the charge automatically.
  3. A bar at the top of every page shows the date and a Pay now button.
  4. If the payment is still pending after that date, your Max features pause and you get a second email. Your data is kept, and everything comes back on its own as soon as the payment goes through.

While the features are paused, reminders and waitlist offers for those days are not sent later. Scheduled campaigns pause and pick up again on their own once you pay; one paused for more than a week is canceled rather than sent late.

Paying a Failed Charge

  1. Click Pay now on the bar, in the email, or on the current plan card in Subscription
  2. Stripe’s invoice page opens: pay with the saved card or a different one
  3. Max stays on (or comes back) as soon as the payment goes through

While a payment is pending you cannot start a new subscription: pay the pending invoice instead, so you are never charged twice.

Not Continuing with Max

In Subscription, click Cancel Subscription next to the failed payment notice. The subscription ends right away, the pending invoice is voided and Stripe stops asking for the payment. Your account stays on Free with all your data. If you cancel during the extra days, they end too.

If Not Resolved

If the payment still fails after Stripe’s retries, the subscription is cancelled and the account stays on the Free plan. The pending invoice is voided, so nothing is charged even if you open the payment link later. Your data is kept.
