SMS Management

The SMS management page gives you full control over your SMS reminders - from balance tracking and pay-as-you-go billing to granular per-calendar and per-service toggles.

Accessing SMS Management

If you are on a Pro or Max plan, you’ll find the SMS Reminders entry directly in the sidebar - no need to navigate through Settings. You can also reach it via Settings > SMS.

SMS Balance

At the top of the page you will see your current SMS balance:

Included Credits (Pro & Max)

Max plans come with 50 SMS per month and Pro plans come with 25 SMS per month. These credits:

  • Reset automatically at the start of each billing cycle
  • Are consumed first, before pay-as-you-go credits
  • Do not roll over - unused included credits expire when the cycle resets

Pay-as-you-go (Pro & Max)

Pay-as-you-go is an opt-in option at €0.07 per SMS, billed at the end of each billing cycle:

  • Enable via the toggle on the SMS management page
  • Used after included credits are exhausted (Pro & Max)
  • Current cycle usage and estimated cost are shown when enabled
  • Charges appear on your end-of-cycle Stripe invoice

Both Pro and Max included credits are consumed first, before pay-as-you-go. Enable PAYG for additional SMS beyond your included allowance.

Toggle Hierarchy

SMS reminders follow a 3-level toggle hierarchy. All three levels must be enabled for an SMS to be sent:

1. Global Toggle

Found in Settings > Notifications. This is the master switch for all SMS reminders across your account. If this is off, no SMS will be sent regardless of the other settings.

2. Per-Calendar Toggle

Found in Settings > SMS under each calendar card. Enable or disable SMS for an entire calendar. This only takes effect when the global toggle is on.

3. Per-Service Toggle

Found within each calendar’s expanded section in Settings > SMS. Enable or disable SMS for individual services within a calendar. This only takes effect when both the global and the parent calendar toggle are on.

Use per-service toggles to focus SMS credits on high-value or no-show-prone services, and skip SMS for lower-priority ones.

Configuration Overview

The Configuration card on the SMS page shows all three toggle levels at a glance:

  • Global status - whether the master SMS switch is on or off
  • Per-calendar status - each active calendar with its SMS toggle state
  • Per-service status - each service nested under its calendar with its toggle state

When a parent toggle is off (global or calendar), any child toggles that are on will display an “overridden” label so you can quickly spot mismatches. If the global toggle is off, a warning banner explains that no SMS will be sent.

Pay-as-you-go

To enable pay-as-you-go billing:

  1. Go to Settings > SMS
  2. Toggle on Pay-as-you-go in the dedicated card
  3. Confirm in the dialog (shows pricing: €0.07/SMS)

When enabled:

  • PAYG acts as a fallback after included credits are exhausted (Pro & Max)
  • Current cycle usage count and estimated cost are displayed
  • Charges are added to your Stripe invoice at the end of each billing cycle

To disable, simply toggle off. Any usage already incurred in the current cycle will still be billed.

Delivery Log

The delivery log shows a history of all SMS messages sent from your account. Each entry includes:

  • Date & time - When the SMS was sent
  • Recipient - Client name and phone number
  • Service - The service the session was booked for
  • Calendar - Which calendar the session belongs to
  • Status - Delivered, failed, or pending

Reading the Delivery Log

Use the delivery log to:

  • Verify that reminders are being sent successfully
  • Identify failed deliveries (usually caused by invalid phone numbers)
  • Track your SMS usage over time

Failed SMS are automatically refunded - your credits are only consumed for successfully sent messages.

Troubleshooting

SMS Not Being Sent for a Specific Service

Check the toggle hierarchy:

  1. Is the global toggle on in Settings > Notifications?
  2. Is the calendar toggle on for that calendar in Settings > SMS?
  3. Is the service toggle on for that specific service?

All three must be enabled. Use the Configuration Overview card on the SMS page to see all levels at a glance.

Included Credits Did Not Reset

Included credits reset at the start of your billing cycle, not on the 1st of the month. Check your billing date in Settings > Subscription.
