Sending & Limits

💎Max Once you hit Send now (or a scheduled time arrives), Timeblu delivers your campaign in the background. You can close the page - the campaign detail screen shows live progress whenever you come back.

How delivery works

  • Sending starts within about a minute of the send time.
  • The audience is resolved at that moment, and each recipient is processed once - a campaign never emails or texts the same client twice.
  • Messages go out gradually rather than all at once. This protects your sender reputation (and keeps large blasts from being flagged as spam), so a big campaign can take a while to complete - the detail page shows sent / failed counts in real time.
  • Each recipient on the detail page ends in one state: Sent, Failed, Skipped (for example, no usable contact details), or Unsubscribed.

Email: monthly cap

Email campaigns share a cap of 5,000 campaign emails per calendar month per account.

If a campaign would exceed the remaining quota, it sends what it can and then pauses automatically:

  • You get a notification email telling you how many recipients are still waiting.
  • The campaign shows Paused - monthly email cap reached on its detail page.
  • On the 1st of the next month the quota resets and the campaign resumes by itself, picking up exactly where it left off.
  • Don’t want it to resume? Cancel the campaign - the pending recipients are dropped.

The confirmation dialog warns you up front when your audience is larger than your remaining quota, so the pause never comes as a surprise.

SMS: credits and pay-as-you-go

SMS campaigns draw from the same SMS balance as reminders:

  1. Your monthly included credits are used first (300 per month on Max).
  2. With pay-as-you-go enabled, additional messages are billed at €0.07 per SMS on your next invoice.
  3. With pay-as-you-go off, a campaign that runs out of credits sends what it can and pauses with “SMS credits exhausted”. It resumes automatically when your quota refreshes - or as soon as you enable PAYG.

If you have zero SMS available and PAYG is off, Timeblu blocks the send entirely and points you to Settings → SMS.

Before any SMS send, the confirmation dialog breaks the cost down: how many messages are covered by your quota, how many would be pay-as-you-go, and the estimated cost. PAYG overage always requires an explicit acknowledgment.

Editing, canceling, deleting

ActionAllowed when
EditDraft or Scheduled. Once sending starts, content is locked so every recipient gets the same message.
CancelDraft, Scheduled, Sending, or Paused. Pending recipients are dropped; already-sent messages can’t be recalled.
DeleteDraft or Canceled only - completed campaigns stay as your sending history.

A paused campaign can’t be edited - if you need to change its content, cancel it and create a new campaign for the remaining audience.

Other limits at a glance

  • Campaigns can be scheduled up to 30 days in advance (in your business timezone).
  • Test sends: 10 per hour, email campaigns only.
  • Email body: up to 30 blocks and 6 images (5 MB each).
  • SMS body: a single message - 160 characters (standard alphabet) or 70 (Unicode).
